Cleaning takes place in an apartment scheduled for reconstruction. A space distant from community, and the lingering traces of the past remaining within that space.
Whispers in the Silence shares its vitality by re-invoking peripheral spaces—those distanced from the center—through natural frequency. Space is modified by humans and acquires its meaning as a 'place' by becoming organically connected to those given structures. Because space is so closely connected to humans—and precisely for that reason—it finds it difficult to possess an independent vitality. However, space paradoxically acquires a unpredictable, individual narrative vitality as it is abandoned and distanced from the user's context. Such vitality resonates with deficient entities, sharing a narrative of healing and restoration.
By intersecting this narrative with images of nature, the work shifts its gaze from a 'space' that has escaped human 'place' back to an 'organism' within nature, forming a kind of structure of reduction. Through this process, Whispers in the Silence expands the human gaze and the world of space, seeking a narrative of healing within such a structure.

청소와 먼지에 대한 아주 간단한 고찰

재건축 예정의 아파트에서 청소를 한다. 공동체로부터 멀어진 공간, 그 공간에 남은 지난 과거의 흔적들.
<귀를 기울이면,>은 고유진동수를 매개로 중심으로부터 멀어진 주변부의 공간들을 다시금 불러옴으로써 그 생명력을 공유한다. 공간은 인간에 의해 개조되고, 그 주어진 구조들과 유기적으로 연결됨으로서 장소로서의 의미를 가진다. 장소는 이처럼 인간과 긴밀히 연결되어있는 덕에, 그리고 그 탓에- 독자적인 생명력을 가지기 어렵다. 그러나, 공간은 오히려 사용자의 맥락에서부터 버려지고 멀어짐으로서 예측 불가능한-개별적인-서사를 가지는 생명력을 가지게 된다. 그러한 생명력은 결핍된 개체에게 공명하며, 치유와 회복의 서사를 공유한다.
이러한 서사와 자연의 모습을 교차하며, 인간의 ‘장소’에서 탈출한 ‘공간’, 그리고 그 ‘공간’을 다시 자연 안의 ‘유기체’로 시선을 이동시키며, 일종의 환원구조를 형성한다. <귀를 기울이면,>은 이러한 과정을 통해 인간의 시선과 공간의 세계를 확장하고, 그러한 구조로부터 치유의 서사를 모색한다.
